February poetry

Wisdom
Wisdom goes from mouth to ear
Remember all the things you hear
Learn to hide when danger’s near
And come back out when the coast is clear

Wisdom goes from mouth to ear
Learn you’re safe when mother’s near
Just to be sure you’re safe stay right here
Father’s also full of cheer

Wisdom goes from mouth to ear
If you stay at home you’ll have no fear
Don’t be afraid to show a tear
(Animals look kinda queer)

Wisdom goes from mouth to ear
A great big hug is always near
A crow cawing is a sound to hear
If you hear growling DON’T GO NEAR.

The Angel
Flying through sky blue fog, all is dark yet light
Just really wish it were day instead of night
I dip and soar, whoosh and fly
To humans I’m only a breeze going by
I have no beak but I have wings
I make good people do good things
I live up high with god and such
And people love me very much.

The volcano
Lava came through a crack in the earth, it seeped into a rock
(And any birds that got in the way let loose a SQUAWK)
Bugs crawled away as fast as they could, elephants shook the jungle
And the all monkeys were making quite a rungle
Lava tumbled down the mountain, it rampaged trees
Why at the heat the Lord even sneezed.

Fire
Fire can burn, fire can kill
Fire can engulf a hill
It can destroy, it can create
But fortunately it can not mate
It can melt snow, it can warm my toes
Why it can make a whole lake unfroze.

Yesterday
I wake up in my bed
My clothes are not quite right
I don’t want to waste time
So I go back and change last night.

I’ll eat me up
I’ll dice me and slice me and salt me too
And sprinkle me into some tasty stew
Then I’ll dish me up so now enjoy
But remember, save some for me.

Once Upon –a-Time
Once I heard a story
About a princess who was caught
And put inside a castle
And was really quite distraught
A prince tried to rescue her
(His name was lance-a-lot)
But he really ought to bring his sword
For by a dragon he was gored.

Little Baby
If you’re a little baby take great care
Be carful not to wet your underwear
Also don’t fall for a dare
Don’t be scared by a nightmare
Don’t worry about your hair
If you’re a little baby take great care.

The bear
Winnie-the-pooh, Winnie-the-pooh
Is my favorite bear
He’ll snuffle and grunt, snuffle and grunt
(Even sniff my hair)
Ooooohhhhh, Winnie-the-pooh.

Me
Ooooh, when I was young and full of dung
Around the world I liked to sprung
Love to play indeed I did
Oooooh, when I was a kid.

So Sad
Sad, sad, sad
Not mad or very glad
Oh the good times I had
But now I’m always sad.

Misunderstood
                     Misunderstood, misunderstood
People treating me like I’m wood
Make them understand I wish I could
Oh I feel misunderstood.

Junk
Trash is here, trash is there
It’s filling up my underwear
The TV is a mess so is the table
To clean this up I will not be able.

The Meal
 Tortilla on pumpkin pie
Covered in spicy rice and rye
On top is a monsters eye
I’d..love…to…eat..it. bye.

Facts
Time, time, time
It’s as simple as a dime
Morning, noon and night
And for the power of time there was quite a fight
The clock was the result and an invention indeed that was
And the answer to why there is time is cuz.

Good Night
Oh sleep well sicky head
rest well in bed
Don’t forget to take your med
sleep well sicky head.

Sickness
I got a cold tomorrow
It’s sad but it’s true
I really, really have to sneeze
I’m sure I have the flu
It’s quite a nasty feeling
I don’t know what to do.

I’m Weird
I’m the boy who lives at the end of the street
My clothes are a mess
My hair is not neat
I walk around no shoes on my feet
I’m the weird boy at the end of the street.

The Beast
Its face was huge and hairy
Its fangs looked kinda beary
Its claws were very scary
And its name was…Mary.
